Day 25

Week 4, Day 4 - Thursday 9th August

3 Mile faster run today.  There aren't so many 3 mile runs available from Northwood so we decided to run to the Flowershop and up Birches Head Road to the canal and back along there.  It seemed like a good idea at the time of choosing, which was my fault again. On the day, however, it turned out to be a big mistake. 

It was around 22.5 degrees hot, which seemed just about bearable whilst we were running on the road as there was a nice little breeze but when we went on the canal, it was awful.  There was no air what-so-ever and it felt like it got even hotter.

I was running most of the time without water because I had rushed out of the house with my water bottle and didn't check the top so it leaked out all over the seat of the car. Thankfully, Sam shared her water with me and i found a tiny can of pop in the car that was 8 months out of date and piss warm.  Yuck! At least it was wet and taught me to check my tops more thoroughly.

 Luckily we managed to complete the full 3 miles without having to run up any of Cromer Road too because, they way I felt, I would not have been able to do it.  When we got back to Northwood none of us had the energy to even do the cool-down stretches.
