Week 4, Day 3 - Wednesday 8th August
Oh, no, my blooming hip pain is back again. I woke up this morning and could barely walk. It's the first time for a long time that I skipped my achilles stretches on the landing. I just couldn't face that as well when I was already worrying about how to get downstairs. Past experience told me to go down backwards. It wasn't easy but I eventually got there one step at the time.
I proceeded immediately with some stretches and exercises specifically for hip pain and gradually my hip loosened up somewhat but all day it has been bothering me on and off. I guess one day I will have to do something about it but for now it will have to wait.
It's a shame really that it's a 'no run' day today because sometimes it seems like running makes some of these things better. I don't know if that's true or if running just makes you feel a lot better so that you don't notice them. Anyway, since I already run 4 times per week, I best not add an extra run in. Don't want to risk any injuries.
