Pre training

It has gone years since I last wrote in blog so I decided to start a new one. I'm going to use this blog for my Training Diary for the Half Marathon.  The intension is that it should (hopefully) have a daily record of all aspects of the training.

My first Half Marathon will be in August at Congleton and the official training for that commences week beginning 16th of July.  I have, however, already started doing some training towards it but on a very casual basis. 

I started running in January 2012 by joining Potters Trotters 10 week beginners' course.  Since then I have been running about 4 times per week for around 15-16 miles but recently I have been extending the Sunday runs a little. 

This week I run 3 miles on Saturday, then 8 miles on Sunday.  Today I have been doing stretches and strengthening exercises and tomorrow I am running.
