New Shoes

Sue noticed the other day that my shoes were getting worn and suggested that I should think of getting some new running shoes.  I must admit I was surprised because I had only bought them in January and I thought they would last longer than 6 months.  Although I had already had a gait analysis done back then at Go Outdoors, I decided to have another on done, this time at Bournes.  I was yet again told that I could wear any standard running shoes because my gait is good but they still gave me shoes to try at around £100.  As nice as they were; I knew that, unless I win the lottery or come in to money some other way, I could never afford to buy them. Since I'm expecting to be running a lot more miles in the next 6 months than I did in the previous 6, so I prefer to spend less and replace more often.
These Karrimor shoes were originally £69 but, because a newer model has come out, they were selling them at half price. They are just as comfortable as the more expensive ones but they are not as light as the Mizuno shoes that I liked but my old Asics weren't light either so I won't know the difference.  An added bonus is that they will look good with my pink Potters Trotters vest.  Can't wait to try them out at training tonight.
