Two weeks post-op and I'm feeling a lot better. In fact, the other day, I was just about cross the road at a pedestrian crossing when the lights changed. Automatically, without thinking, I jogged accross and only realised afterwards what I'd done. I was lucky and didn't get any repercussions from it but it made me realise how easily it could have gone wrong.
My walking exercises didn't quite go to plan as I had planned to walk up Penkhull New Road every day. I did indeed walk every day but some days it was just on the flat. The pain got worse just before it started to get better and I was worried I was putting strain on my surgical areas. Just have to hope that flat walking is better than doing nothing.
Next Monday it is nearly three weeks since my surgery and I am going to add a little (maybe 5 minute) jog to my walking regime and increase it gradually each day. That will prepare me for my 4 mile run the week after when training for Barcelona starts.
