Tuesday
I thought it was lovely to be back at the club again and
expected everyone else to feel the same. To my amazement I walked in quite late
and found just a handful of girls there.
Just a few more arrived in the next few minutes but nowhere near the amount
that should have been there. Kath and I
did the “Bucknall Hospital Run” and enjoyed it very much. We were both very pleased to see all the snow
gone now and hoped it would stay off until December.
Thursday
I arrived at the club very late due to a surprise visit by my
lovely sister-in-law from the Wirral. I had
seen some of the girls running in groups as I drove past but was hoping that
Kath was waiting for me. After having
walked in to an empty bar, I was very pleased to see Kath and Hayley through
the window waiting for me on the front car park. I was trying to think of a suitable route for
our 5 mile run and came up with the one going to Lime Kiln Bank, Keelings Road,
Bartholomew Road and Birches Head Road but I got it wrong. That route was only 4 miles but we decided to
make the missing mile up somewhere else.
Friday
I knew that I would not only have to make up the mile from
Thursday but also make up the 3 miles from missing the Parkrun yet again. This time it wasn’t due to the weather but
because I knew I was volunteering this week.
I would need to wrap up so I wouldn’t be able to run there and back
either. I put my Zombie Run game on and
went running around in Westbury Park and Seabridge trying to avoid letting the
Zombies catch me. Ha ha, the beggars
never got closer than 20 metres to me J
Sunday
I will do a separate report for Alsager 5M
